As Board President, Jessica provides administrative oversight, policy guidance, and operational support. Prior to becoming a business owner herself, Jessica spent twelve years as the loan services manager at CUEE, Inc., a non-profit community lender. There she managed a $12 million loan portfolio that focused on local small and minority-owned businesses and witnessed the obstacles they faced as they struggled to compete in the New Orleans economy.

At Seventeen18, Shäna conducts research and develops analysis for a variety of clients, most recently authoring reports for the Louisiana Chamber of Commerce Foundation and the New Orleans Workforce Development Board. She also designs and directs strategies to effectively engage the diverse communities of New Orleans. Shäna applies both of these skills to the collection and analysis of data for CCI.
Michelle Nixon Stanton

Director of Operations at CUEE, Inc.
Since 2012 Michelle has served as the Director of Operations for CUEE, Inc., a non-profit community lender with a focus on small and minority businesses. A consistent and effective leader, she successfully guided the organization through an early restructuring and then the economic turmoil of the Covid-19 pandemic. As Board Treasurer, her operational and financial expertise ensures that CCI's limited resources are managed effectively.
